I asked Jason Dohring what it was like to go from playing a teen on Veronica Mars to playing a centuries-old vampire on Moonlight. He said his approach to the characters was so different. He plays Josef, a vampire who, after 13 episodes, we still don't know too much about. Jason hopes this will change though; he really wants a Josef flashback, much like the one Moonlight fans will see this season with Alex O'Loughlin's character, Mick. (I'll give you a hint: it involves the 1940s, World War II, and Alex with his hair gelled back. Take it from the girl who saw some of it shoot, it'll be awesome.) Jason Dohring got his start in commercials and then moved into roles in movies and television. He has appeared on JAG, Roswell, Boston Public, The Division, and Cold Case among others. Dohring also co-starred opposite Randy Quaid in the made-for-television film, Black Cadillac, which was just released on video and DVD. His breakout role was portraying the scene-stealing Logan Echolls on the critically-acclaimed Veronica Mars and can be seen as the 400-year-old vampire Josef on Moonlight. On top of being a talented actor, Dohring is an expert skier and enjoys snowboarding, water skiing, golf and boxing. This is Dohring’s first time in the tournament.
